1st Annual Hops for Hospice Boat Cruise made some positive waves thanks to Keweenaw Excursions
Hospice of Northwest Michigan would like to take this opportunity to thank all who attended and sponsored the 1st Annual Hops for Hospice Boat Cruise Event. For this 1st year event, Hospice of Northwest Michigan in collaboration with the Charlevoix Marathon, Keweenaw Excursions and Shorts Brewery raised $1,500 for Hospice and have already started booking the boat for the 2nd Annual Hops for Hospice Event in 2016. Like anything important it takes the support of our local community to make something good happen. The Charlevoix Marathon, Keweenaw Excursions and Shorts Brewery chose to make us their charity of choice for this event and by doing so gave us a footing to better serve the community in the future.
The Board of Directors, volunteers and staff of Hospice of Northwest Michigan greatly appreciate this support, as we know how much the proceeds directly benefit our hospice families and those in our local community. Every little bit helps and these funds ensure that we are able to continue to provide quality end-of-life care for patients and their families in our local communities. We serve 150+ hospice families each year, and a large number of community members not in our hospice program, so you can see that your support of our Hospice work has a huge local impact.
Hospice of Northwest Michigan is the only 501(c)3 non-profit, community-based, locally-managed hospice in northern lower Michigan, meaning it is not owned, operated, regulated or supported by corporate interests.
