CharEm United Way grant to support Hospice of Northwest Michigan’s growing Grief/Loss and Bereavement Program
Hospice of Northwest Michigan has announced it has received a grant from the CharEm United Way to be used towards their growing Grief/Loss and Bereavement Programs. Amy Wieland, Executive Director, said the funding will be used to enhance existing grief, loss and bereavement materials, allow for additional community opportunities and access to our program and to ultimately support our community patients, families, friends and neighbors though any type of loss, not just a death. All of the Hospice of Northwest Michigan grief/loss/bereavement support is open to the public and is free of charge.
“We are extremely grateful to the CharEm United Way for supporting this programs continued development and for recognizing the value of this free and open mental & physical health resource to the community. We are able to meet so many more unmet grief, loss and bereavement needs with their support,” Wieland said. CharEm United Way funding will allow Hospice of Northwest Michigan the flexibility to immediately respond to our patients, families and community needs when loss is experienced.
